Ten Mukhi Rudraksha symbolizes the Gods of all the 10 directions and the wearer gets blessed by these Gods. The ten faces Rudraksha have ten natural lines on their surface and embody Gods of all the ten directions. This Rudraksha also saves us from the sin done by the 10 organs of our body. As this Mukhi is ruled by Lord Vishnu, so it represents Lord Krishna, the 8th Avatar of Lord Vishnu, who is the preserver of the whole world.
The 10 Mukhi Rudraksha is blessed by Lord Vishnu. The Hindu Trinity consists of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Here Vishnu (Narayana/ Krishna) is in charge of the protection and sustenance of all living beings in the universe. Lord Vishnu takes ten Avatars in each of the Maha Yuga after a Pralaya and therefore the 10 Mukhi represents the Dasa Avatars of Lord Vishnu. Lord Shiva himself assigned the 10 Mukhi Rudraksha to Narayana Krishna. The Shrimad Devi Bhagwatam and Mantra Mahamava mention this. However, the Rudraksha Jabalo Upanishad mentions that this bead is blessed by Yamraaj (the God of death) and the guardians of the 10 directions (10 Dikpals).
